Stepping into the global spotlight on July 1, 2025, Francesco brings more than just Mediterranean charm to the presidency. With over 35 years of service and leadership, including stints as District Governor (Sicily & Malta), Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Strategic Planning, and a learning facilitator at the International Assembly, he’s basically the Rotary version of James Bond — only with more service projects. He has also represented the RI President at district conferences and played a key role in organizing Rotary Institutes and events across Europe and beyond.

Beyond Rotary, Francesco keeps a full plate: he’s a respected orthodontist, a Knight of Honour and Devotion in Obedience (in the Sovereign Order of Malta), and was head of the National Trust’s Ragusa chapter for seven years. He is also a Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation alongside his powerhouse wife, Anna Maria, who runs her own tourism business.

Whether he’s aligning teeth, preserving heritage, or aligning global communities, Francesco leads with heart, humor, and a big vision.
